Underground Rivers

about

Sebastian Wesman and I started collaborating in 2008, when we made our first recording of "Underground Rivers." He is a South American living in Estonia who takes the beauty of extreme landscapes and distills them through his music. He even recorded some of the music for his first album, Astronomic Panoram, outdoors under the light of a full moon. This album was released in 2010, and I encourage you to discover more of its beauty at www.sebastianwesman.com

lyrics

Underground Rivers

you ask me good questions
--deep ones
underneath language
the ones that flow in underground rivers,
the ones that melt in lava,
burst out of volcanoes, gorges, and springs

Once they surface, they go unheard

they travel silently beneath us,
but we feel their vibrations, their energies,
the spiritual ones measure their crossings
with sacred metal and compass

you ask me good questions
--deep ones
and i take years to answer,
never knowing when to stop searching
my answers--just like your questions--
are perpetually flowing beneath us
forming stalactites and stalagmites of every human emotion,
buried in caverns, treasures uncovered for speleologists
who may collect them and take them from their place of creation

we meet in dreams
always in transition,
i feel you most in the rooms between seasons

there, you enter my bones,
like the teasing weather
